AUSTEST LABORATORIES is an INDEPENDENT testing and certification company assisting manufacturers, importers and exporters in gaining access to local and international markets.
Upon quote acceptance, each testing and/or approvals project is assigned a dedicated project manager who you’re able to discuss all aspects of your project with, at any time via our unique, web based project management tool. Want an up to date status of your job with us?, log on 24/7 and see the current status, send correspondence to the assigned test engineer and directly upload documentation, look up past projects and quotes…even request new projects on-line.
Austest was established in 1991 to cater to AUSTEL (previous name for ACMA) based customers requiring NATA conformance test reports for obtaining AUSTEL approvals and has since grown to become the most comprehensive full service compliance test facilities in Australia by encompassing testing and approval services covering Electrical Safety, Energy Efficiency, EMC (emissions and immunity), Telecommunications, Wireless and Environmental product and component compliance.
Austest became part of the Approval Specialists group in May 2008 which brought together testing and certification facilities in Sydney, the NSW Central Coast, Melbourne (formerly Comlabs) and Adelaide. Harvest Labs of Auckland NZ was merged with the Austest Melbourne site in 2011.
In 2009, Austest swapped NATA ISO 17025 accreditation for A2LA (the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation), providing clients greater test report recognition via ILAC and APLAC mutual recognition agreements. NATA and A2LA are signatories to these MRA agreements. Locally our accredited reports are accepted by all State and Federal agencies including the NSW Fair Trading, ESV (Energy Safe Victoria), ESO Qld, VEET, EESS, Dept of Defence and ASC. We are also an ACMA Recognised Testing Authority.
Austest is the only IECEE CB Laboratory in Australia, which provides global acceptance of electrical products under the internationally recognised CB Scheme.
