ILAC MRA-A2LA Accredited

Locally and Globally Recognised, Accredited Testing

As an independently audited (by two separate entities) and ISO:17025 accredited testing laboratory, you can be assured of quality testing that is both locally and globally recognised. Some manufacturers base their testing decisions solely on the cheapest price, often to find the report they receive is unaccredited, to an old or obsolete version of the standard or missing some of the mandatory tests.

Austest Laboratories reports are accepted locally by Australian and New Zealand electrical safety regulators and certification agencies including NSW Fair Trading, ESV, ESO, SAA, SAI Global, SGS Systems Services, TUV Rheinland Australia and under the EESS, the Australian Communications and Media Authority, (ACMA), programs administered by the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency, the NSW Govt IPART ESS (Energy Saving Scheme), and the Victorian State Government under their VEET scheme.

Globally, our ILAC endorsed reports are recognised in South Africa by ICASA, the FCC and Industry Canada, the IMDA in Singapore, JATE in Japan, CE for Europe and under the globally accepted CB Scheme.

A2LA Accredited

A2LA Accredited

Our Sydney and NSW Central Coast facilities are A2LA (the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation) accredited for a vast range of standards. Austest has chosen A2LA as our accreditation provider to give our customers the widest possible global reach for report acceptance. A2LA has accredited more than 2000 organisations and is a signatory to several multilateral mutual recognition arrangements including the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), the Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC), and the InterAmerican Accreditation Cooperation (IAAC). A2LA and NATA (National Association of Testing Authorities) are both signatories to the ILAC and APLAC MRA’s for mutual acceptance of test data and reports.

CB Scheme

The IECEE CB Scheme is an international program created by the International Electrotechnical Commission for Electrical Equipment (IECEE) for the acceptance of product electrical safety test results around the world. The CB Scheme offers manufacturers a simplified way of obtaining multiple national safety certifications for their products which provides entry into over 50 countries, thus saving money, time and reducing the number of test samples needed.

As the only CB Scheme laboratory in Australia, Austest produces CB safety reports for a huge range of electrical products. Our CB reports, in conjunction with TUV Rheinland of Japan who provide our CB Certificates, open up world markets for your products.
