Austest Laboratories is pleased to announce further expansion of its capabilities to include mechanical testing of cables and wiring elements in accordance with AS/NZS 3013:2005 standard.

AS/NZS 3013 standard (Electrical installations—Classification of the fire and mechanical performance of wiring system elements) is referenced in the Building Code of Australia and sets out a classification system for wiring elements based on their ability to maintain circuit integrity under fire conditions and against mechanical damage of specified severity.
