Austest adds 3 new product standards covering UV radiation water treatment products, oral hygiene appliances and microwave ovens

Austest Laboratories continues to expand its scope of AS/NZS 60335.2 Series of electrical safety standards to include the following:

AS/NZS 60335.2.109:2011 for UV radiation water treatment. This standard deals with the safety of products that treat water using electromagnetic energy at wavelengths in the ultraviolet band using UV-C emitters. While the standard covers products for household and similar purposes, appliances intended to be used in light industry and farms, are within the scope of this standard.

AS/NZS 60335.2.52:2006+A1 for oral hygiene appliances including oral irrigators and and toothbrushes.

AS/NZS 60335.2.25:2002+A1‐A4 (Annex ZZ only) for microwave ovens including combination microwave ovens.
