Austest adds new UPS standards to accredited scope
AS 62040.1 2019 is the new standard for UPS (Uninterupted Power Supplies) and multi-function products such as Inverters that have a UPS function. This standard is based on IEC 62040-1:2017 (ED 2.0), MOD and has immediately superseded AS 62040.1.1 2003.
As an adjunct, we also provide electrical tests to ST/AG/AC.10/11/Rev6, which covers the transportation requirements of batteries within a UPS.
IEC 62477-1 is referred within AS 62040.1 and covers Power Electronic Converter Systems (PECS) and equipment, their components for electronic power conversion and electronic power switching, including the means for their control, protection, monitoring and measurement, such as with the main purpose of converting electric power, with rated system voltages not exceeding 1000 V a.c. or 1500 V d.c.
Accredited testing provides the highest confidence your product meets required standards. A full listing of our accreditation can be found here.
