Austest increases scope of Australia and New Zealand accredited lighting safety standards
The accredited safety testing scope of standards under Austest Laboratories Sydney lab has been expanded to include the additional lighting products/categories
- AS/NZS 60598.2.1:1998 (Luminaires – Part2.1: Particular requirements – Fixed general purpose luminaires)
- AS/NZS 60598.2.2:2001 (Luminaires – Part2.2: Particular requirements – Recessed luminaires)
- AS/NZS 60598.2.5:2002 (Luminaires – Part2.2: Particular requirements – Floodlights)
- AS/NZS 60598.2.10:1998 (Luminaires – Part2.10: Particular requirements – Portable child-appealing luminaires)
The above standards were added to our existing lighting test capabilities, which also includes;
- AS/NZS 60598.1:2003 (Luminaires – General requirements and tests)
- AS/NZS 60598.2.4:2005 (Luminaires – Particular requirements – Portable general purpose luminaires)
- AS/NZS 60598.2.6:1998 (Luminaires – Particular requirements – Luminaires with built-in transformers or convertors for filament lamps)
- AS/NZS 60598.2.20:2002 (Luminaires – Particular requirements – Lighting chains)
- AS/NZS 61347.1:2002 (Lamp control gear – General and safety requirements)
- IEC 61347-2-13:2008 (Lamp Control gear – Part 2-13: Particular Requirements For D.C. Or A.C. Supplied Electronic Control gear For Led Modules)
We also perform LCP (Lamp Circuit Power) testing for IPart and VEET.
