Austest Laboratories is now accredited for testing grid connected and off grid inverters to IEC 62109‐1:2010 and IEC 62109‐2:2011.

The electrical safety elements of these standards will eventually take over from AS/NZS 3100 for grid connect inverters and other styles of inverters including off grid.  They combine the electrical safety requirements currently required by AS/NZS 3100 and the harmonics and other functional requirements of inverters listed in AS 4777.

Be careful to always use a lab that is a CB Scheme member (such as ourselves), NATA, A2LA or ILAC MRA signatory accredited, as reports from non accredited labs will not be able to obtain a JAS-ANZ endorsed safety approval certificate for Australia.  A non accredited report in CB format is still a non accredited report, no mater what the spin and marketing hyperbole.

Continuing as an industry leader, Austest Labs is the only accredited laboratory testing to these standards in Australian or New Zealand, while we continue to provide accredited testing to AS 4777.
