Austest Laboratories is the leading Australian Testing Facility, providing comprehensive test and certification services for defence, aerospace, rail, automotive, medical and other industries.

We continue to undergo rapid growth and expansion and are therefore seeking a dynamic individual who is motivated and ready to join and grow with the team at our Melb – Reservoir facilities.

One position is available for a technician or engineer working in a lab environment, providing testing for a wide range of electrical products to relevant AS/NZS and IEC product safety standards.

Previous experience in areas such as product testing and certification would be very highly regarded, but not essential.

A sound knowledge of electrical principals is necessary, accompanied by either an engineering degree, a diploma/TAFE certificate or an equivalent qualification in an electrical field.

The role involves planning, preparation and execution of various electrical tests, as well as preparation of associated formal documentation (e.g. test plans, reports and certificates) and direct dealing with clients.  Solid written and oral communication skills are essential.

Testing activities include significant hands-on work so a successful candidate must be competent in use of basic tools such as scopes, multi meters and soldering irons. Training will be provided.

This is a full time role, no part timers.
