There are a number of product and component approval schemes operated throughout the world.  For companies seeking Australian approval, GS scheme is not an acceptable scheme or accreditation body as per Appendix A of AS/NZS 3820.

Accepted reports are from:

A laboratory accredited by one of the following:

(i) National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) or International Accreditation

New Zealand (IANZ) or a body with which NATA or IANZ has a mutual recognition

agreement, including A2LA;

(ii) The IECEE CB Scheme, which is the scheme for mutual recognition of the results

of testing (CB Scheme) administered by the IEC system for conformity testing to

Standards for safety of electrical equipment (the IECEE).

Austest Laboratories reports are accredited by A2LA and we are also the only IECEE CB Scheme lab in Australia.
