The range of mechanical testing services performed by Austest Laboratories has recently expanded to incorporate strength and durability testing of domestic kitchen assemblies.

Austest Castle Hill (NSW) facility has gained formal accreditation for AS/NZS 4387.5, AS/NZS 4387.6, AS/NZS 4387.7 and AS/NZS 4387.8 standards, covering conduct of strength, wear, fatigue, slam-open and slam-shut on various types of hinged doors used in domestic kitchen installations.

New capabilities enable manufacturers and suppliers of kitchen assemblies to obtain accredited and globally recognized test reports demonstrating compliance of their products with requirements of AS/NZS 4387.5-.8 standards.
