ESV’s (Energy Safe Victoria) Prohibition Notice for RCBOs came into force 1 July.  ESV took steps in early 2017 to require all RCBOs sold in Victoria comply with new testing requirements as a result of a Victorian fatality in 2016.  The facts available to date point to a RCBO that was installed correctly however there had been a failure of the trip coil which could have been caused by a back feed.
