Continuing our support for Australian manufacturers of products and components, our spotlight on suppliers this quarter is Allied Data Systems.

Allied Data Systems designs and manufactures embedded computing systems for the defence, industrial and mining industries, both for local and export markets.  Products are supported from a strong market position in niche areas of defence and rugged industrial electronics while locally they represent leading International suppliers.

Capabilities include hardware and software development for rugged embedded computing systems including software design using dotnet, C# ,C++ and Delphi for Linux and Windows including windows embedded with  3D mechanical design using Solidworks.

Allied Data Systems has been designing, manufacturing and supplying systems since 1983 with international customers including BAE Systems in Sweden, Data Device Corporation in New York and Harris Corporation in Utah. Local customers include BAE Systems, Thales, SAAB, ASC and Raytheon.  They are currently under contract to redesign and upgrade Model 3045 Doppler Velocity Log for the Collins Class Submarines and have developed a large 48V 100Ah stackable Lithium Battery system for industrial use which has recently entered pre-production.  A new low cost Industrial Internet of Things (IOT) Gateway is also in pre-production.

Holding ISO 9001 certification, Allied Data Systems is located in Cromer on Sydney’s northern beaches and was Awarded Raytheon Australia Combat Systems Supplier for 2016.
